And that fantastic piece of workmanship meant that the global flooring experts were called in by the company who bought the warehouse, to work on their newest premises.
“The floor that we constructed in 2007 was a 20,000m2, two storey Warehouse” said Jason Blackmore, CoGri Asia’s Regional Manager for North Asia. “And it was so well made that the company who moved in to that warehouse not long afterwards got in touch with us recently to work on their new premises, which nearly doubles in size at around 38,000m2”
The work for the new warehouse was split over four floors.
“The ground floor scope of work is based on a CoGri ‘Design-Construction-Insure’ Solution with the complex, value engineering design carried out by Face Consultants” Jason said. “This bespoke design included areas of Joint-Free SFRC SOG and areas of Steel Fibre only reinforced SOP floors to provide the most cost effective solution.”
He added: “For the upper suspended floors, the CoGri Bonded Topping Solution was applied with some areas constructed to TR-34 FM3, and some areas constructed to TR-34 DM2 for a VNA application.”
To provide the Client with a Fast-Track construction method, the upper floor VNA floor areas were constructed in Wide Strip with a Somero S240 Laser Screed.
In total this project incorporated 4 different CoGri Floor Construction Solutions, and the work was completed at the end of May 2016.
