CoGri Asia, based in Singapore, has been awarded a contract for the construction of a 56,000 m2 Steel Fibre only Reinforced Slab on Piles (SOP) floor for a global retailer who is building a new distribtion centre on the outskirts of Shanghai, China.
Construction of the Pile Supported Slab will commence in June 2010 and is to be completed within a 71-day period. Pioneered by CoGri Asia, this is the first time a floor of this design will be constructed in China.
The award follows other Steel Fibre SOP floors recently constructed by CoGri Asia, including a 24,000 m2 floor in Thailand and a 50,000 m2 in Malaysia.
