CoGri Thailand recently completed the installation of a high-performance floor for ReX Cosmetics.
The floor was constructed using a Long Strip process to meet the exacting flatness requirements of the 10m high very narrow aisle (VNA) racking system. Tim Walker, Regional Manager for CoGri in ASEAN said “This facility is the first of several VNA ready floors that CoGri are engaged to construct in Thailand this year, and it’s part of a broader trend we are seeing in Asia as warehouse operators are modernising towards higher density and higher efficiency systems like VNA and ASRS”.
ReX Cosmetics is one of the top five cosmetics manufacturer in Thailand with more than 70,000 square metres of factory under GMP standards. Tim Walker says, “ReX Cosmetics have over 40 years of experience in the cosmetics industry and a strong focus on quality. Clearly they know what they want when it comes to setting up a warehouse so we were thrilled that they chose to work with CoGri as their trusted flooring partner”.
Constructing a defined movement floor for a VNA facility requires a high level of care and attention to detail. In this case the CoGri Thailand team cast two long narrow strips each day. Each strip is set out to match the future VNA aisles, and this allows the casting and finishing team to precisely control the flatness and levelness. During a site inspection ReX representative Mr. Attaporn was asked what he thought of the CoGri flooring system. He replied “Special building, precision flooring” – which sums up the demands of modern day warehousing where the floor is absolutely critical to long term success.
