CoGri Floor is Best For Dangerous Goods Areas

October 6, 2015

Bertschi Long StripCoGri Asia Pacific (CGAP) delivered a 7,200m2 CoGri floor for Swiss transport company Bertschi AG recently, at their dangerous goods warehouse in Jurong Island, Singapore.

Bertchi AG is a well known provider of logistics and transport for the chemical industry, and with a warehouse containing racking which stood at 17m high, CGAP advised them that the correct solution would be to cast the VNA floors to meet DM1 tolerance, and to the FM2 standard  in transfer areas.

“The work comprised of laying a bonded topping slab to DM1 tolerance using the the CoGri Long Strip method” CGAP said “Long strip methods are commonly constructed in very narrow aisles warehouse. During the construction process, our highly skilled technicians would take Bertschi Racksmeasurements to ensure that the flatness specifications are met. By doing this we reassure clients that we are paying the necessary attention to detail.”

Being a dangerous goods warehouse, a challenge for CGAP was the forming and securing of the scupper drains into the floor. A wet curing is applied instead of curing compound due to the application of epoxy at the final stage.

“Overall, detailed coordination is required so that we can keep to the tight schedule.” CGAP added. “At CoGri, we always produce the best floors, meeting our clients’ requirements and ensuring quality results”
