CoGri Middle East (CGME) have just completed the design and build of a 26,000m2 concrete floor in a facility for Agility Logistics, Kuwait. With their head office in Kuwait and a global presence, Agility Logistics offers freight forwarding, contract logistics and supply chain solutions, as well as 2PL warehousing parks and light-industrial facilities around the globe.
Agility are a repeat customer of the CoGri Group and the 2 companies have a working relationship going back over 3 decades. This latest project is the 2nd to be done where Tareq Al Essa General Trading & Contracting (TECO) are the Main Contractor.
TECO provides a wide range of construction and construction-related services for projects in Kuwait and the wider GCC region, from individuals, real-estate owners, consultancy firms, to international construction companies and the Kuwaiti Government.
TECO’s appointment of CGME for this floor design and build is a demonstration of the faith both Agility & TECO have in CGME to deliver a high-quality floor slab on programme and flatness specification compliant.
The steel fibre reinforced “jointless” floor was constructed (to Free Movement flatness classification FM2) in slabs of approximately 1,000m2 with steel armoured joints between each slab. This provides optimal protection from warehouse traffic to all slab edges and eliminates the need for induced saw cut joints, a potential cause of maintenance issues.
The addition of a hard wearing, well cured power floated finish provides a durable surface for years to come on which the client can operate all their MHE productively and cost-efficiently.
