Site Visit in Singapore

CoGri Asia started the year with building the first Steel Fibre Reinforced only Slab on Piles floor (SR-SOP) in Singapore. CoGri Asia took this opportunity to invite professionals from building, construction and the logistics sectors to visit on-site on 7th and 8th February. As this construction method is new to Singapore, the visit marked a significant milestone for CoGri Asia.

The purpose of this site visit was to introduce CoGri’s SR-SOP construction method to the industry and highlight the numerous benefits of this process. Visitors’ response was tremendously encouraging despite the Chinese New Year celebration just round the corner.

During the site visit, Project Manager Rob Walker talked about the construction philosophy behind SR-SOP.

How construction times have been minimised.
Reduction on man hours made possible.
The overall reduction in material cost.
Lowering long-term maintenance cost on floor slabs.
High quality superflat floors compliance testing.
Joint systems used.

Using hi-tech equipment and machineries enabled CoGri Asia to construct high quality floors with great speed and precision. It was also the first time in Singapore that CoGri Asia used a Laser Screed during construction. The Laser Screed has an automatic laser control system which provided an accurate level finish through the use of its electro-hydraulic controls.

With this site visit, not only were the visitors able to understand such technique on paper but also allowed them to witness and experience the benefits that can be achieved by using this method. Of course, visitors were also able to see the professionalism and expertise our staff had in handling every set of equipment whilst delivering high quality concrete floors.”, said Benjamin Cheng, Marketing Executive at CoGri Asia.
